At the time of the release we felt that cyrus-sasl degraded the security
level of postfix. Also many pop-b4-smtp solutions were a bit kludgey for
us as well. I haven't checked out Marcus's solution yet so I can't
comment. Our goal is to provide a secure product. Of course you can
apply a solution of your choice. We may include SASL or POPb4SMTP in the
future depending of what state these solutions are in at the time. As
for creating a list of ip's that are allowed to have access, we don't
expect that admins to enter 2000 ip's by hand. What you can do in this
scenario is add IP blocks of which the dynamic IP's are coming from. But
like I said previously, you are free to use other solutions and we are
continually looking at this issue and working on a something that we
feel comfortable with from a security aspect.

Pete
