[EnGarde] Dynamic SMTP Sending. Help!

From: ap4k_at_<censored>

Hi all,

I am running ESL Pro, But i am sure that the same applies for the community
version.

I am running a e-mail service that allows users to get/send their e-mail via
pop/imap/smtp/webmail. The webmail works fine, but when users who have
accounts on the server try to send mail via their mail client they get

'relay access denied'. I understand this is because in the main.cf file they
either need to be part of the local network or listed as an allowed client.

I have around 2000 members on dynamic ip's and therefore cannot enter their
ip's.

How can i disable the IP authentication and use something like smtp auth
based on correct username/password authentication instead.

I have looked into pop before smtp, but i am not sure if this will work for
imap as well?
