RE: pop-before-smtp daemon
Everything seems accurate to me. I didn't install it as I don't have the
time today. I did read it all though and couldn't find anything wrong.
BTW, it is a better howto than most that I have read :). You have covered a
lot so that pretty well anyone could do it.

Subject: pop-before-smtp daemon
Thanks for your interest in my new pop-before-smtp daemon.
I still have a bit of minor tweaking to do before I make it available, but
it is running right now on my own server without any problems.
In the meantime, I have written a HOWTO that describes the steps you need
to take to make this all work. The daemon is the least part of it; the POP
and SMTP server configurations must be correct for this to work.
Could you read this HOWTO for me, and possibly follow the steps in it to
find any important items that I may have missed? It has been a while since
I did the majority of the tweaking of my EnGarde system, so I don't know
what non-standard settings I have that are contributory to making this
As a side benefit, after doing this you can just drop in the daemon when I
release it sometime within the next week.
Here is the HOWTO: http://www.binarytool.com/docs/popbsmtpd-HOWTO.html
Good luck, and please let me know how it goes.
