Occasionally, I take the time to put down my thoughts and observations on the events and circumstances I find myself in. This has been generally expressed in private correspondence until now, but today anyone with Internet access can have a public forum for their thoughts. This is mine.

“The Rivals” is a rumination on how the straightest path between two points looks different to different individuals, particularly in the immature world (in an engineering sense) of software development. It also reflects indirectly on the observation that productivity variation among software developers can be an order of magnitude.

“About...” describes in broad terms what it takes to build a web site like this one, and to keep it running. Of course the devil is always in the details, so this is a simplification. If you have ever wondered how all that material makes it onto the web, you may find this interesting.
